Performance is at the heart of Trinitys Rock & Pop exams – whether self-taught or taking lessons, learning for fun or heading for a career in the music industry, these exams help musicians develop valuable playing skills and achieve their musical ambitions.
You can access everything you need to prepare for the performance part of the exam in our new graded songbooks. Our Rock & Pop books are available for Initial to Grade 8 and each includes eight songs with performance hints and tips. Theres also useful background information so you can explore the story behind, and techniques used in, the songs.
Rock & Pop Bass exams help you develop important playing skills and techniques including picking and damping, slapped and pulled notes, and tapping, while playing the music you love. Song lists include music from The Beatles, Metallica, Aretha Franklin, Led Zepplin, and Paramore.
The exams are supported by a range of resources that provide essential support for learners:
graded songbooks containing all the songs needed for the exam, and performance tips and background information on the songs
