Es la nueva versin orquestada de uno de los lbumes clsicos de The Who y con este lanzamiento se celebra el 50 aniversario de su primera edicin. Grabado en directo en la localizacin original del festival de Woodstock, donde The Who interpretaron Tommy en su integridad, tambin hace 50 aos.
El nuevo lbum fue grabado en Budapest y Bethel en el norte del estado de Nueva York, escenario del primer festival Woodstock hace 50 aos, con una atrevida nueva orquestacin realizada por el compositor y arreglista David Campbell, (Adele, Radiohead, Bob Dylan, Metallica, Carole King). Est producido por Roger y Keith Levenson (quien trabaj en la versin del Musical Tommy para la gira) y cuenta con la participacin del ncleo duro de la banda, Simon Townshend Voz / Guitarra, Frank Simes Guitarra, Scott Devours Batera, Jon Button Bajo, y Loren Gold teclado, todos han girado con The Who en directo. Keith Levenson dirige la Budapest Scoring Orchestra con las nuevas orquestaciones de David Campbell.
