Sodom es un grupo alemn de thrash metal formado en Gelsenkirchen en 1981 y considerado uno de los cuatro grandes del thrash metal teutn, junto con Kreator, Destruction y Tankard. A lo largo de sus 43 aos de carrera, han publicado diecisiete lbumes de estudio y giran constantemente por todo el mundo con una base de fans rabiosa, llenando festivales y clubes. Tambin tienen un devoto club de fans, los Sodomaniacs. Su ltimo lbum de estudio alcanz el nmero 10 en las listas alemanas.
Se trata de una reedicin de su quinto lbum, Tapping The Vein, publicado originalmente en 1992 y considerado uno de los mejores de su extenso catlogo. Slo estuvo disponible en vinilo en cantidades limitadas y hace tiempo que se borr, con copias que cambian de manos por encima de los 400 euros.
El lbum original ha sido remasterizado bajo la supervisin del antiguo guitarrista Andy Brings, que tambin ha creado una nueva remezcla del lbum con algunas tomas de estudio extra, inditas, de las sesiones del lbum. Tambin se incluyen tres conciertos completos inditos de la gira Tapping The Vein, incluida una grabacin de la ltima actuacin del ex batera Christian Dudek con la banda en Colonia.
