Edicin lujo 25 aniversario del segundo lbum de Jewel, ‘Spirit’, a travs de Craft Recordings / Concord.
La carrera de la cantautora alasquea tiene unos inicios de cuento. Firm su primer contrato a los 19 aos con Bob Dylan y Neil Young como referencias, fue Young quien le dedic tiempo y oficio para que grabase su debut, ‘Pieces of You’, en el estudio de su rancho con The Stray Gators, su banda en aquellos tiempos. Publicado en 1995, el disco permaneci en el Billboard 200 durante dos aos.
Tras el tremendo xito multi-platino de su debut, Jewel public ‘Spirit’ tres aos ms tarde logrando el n3 Billboard y unas ventas en USA de casi cuatro millones de copias. Las trece canciones, entre las que destacan los sencillos ‘Hands’ y ‘Down So Long’, se grabaron entre los estudios angelinos Groove Masters y Ocean Way bajo la produccin de Patrick Leonard (Madonna) que aadi teclados y percusiones sobre las lneas de guitarra. La carrera de la artista es una de las ms longevas de sus contemporaneos ya que ha publicado once bumes ms tras ‘Spirit’, el ltimo, ‘Freewheelin’ Woman’, el pasado ao. Su filantropa y resultar ganadora de la sexta edicin de ‘The Mask Singer’ estadounidense en 2021 le han permitido seguir siendo una de las artistas ms admiradas en su pas.
Esta edicin lujo aniversario remasterizada sale en 2LP (vinilos 140g negros en portada gatefold) con los trece cortes originales disponibles por primera vez en este formato desde 1998 y 2CD (SoftPak) con el lbum original y 25 cortes adicionales- 8 de ellos inditos.
