The Chemical Brothers lanzan el prximo 12 de abril su noveno lbum de estudio No Geography. Sucede al exitoso Born in the Echoes publicado en 2015. Su sexto lbum #1 en UK y con el que fueron nominados a un Grammy.
Durante la grabacin de No Geography”, Tom Rowlands y Ed Simons pulsaron el botn de reseteado. Comenzaron con la construccin de un estudio dentro de su estudio; una pequea habitacin improvisada que albergaba el equipo que usaron previamente para grabar sus dos primeros lbumes y llevaba guardado veinte aos en el tico de Tom. Ese espacio experimental les ha ofrecido la libertad y la oportunidad de crear msica y contar su propia historia de un modo que no han hecho en aos. En este nuevo lanzamiento las cosas se hicieron de forma diferente. Construyeron las canciones a partir de samples vocales y fueron probndolas ante su pblico tanto como parte del repertorio de su gira 2018 (que incluy dos actuaciones en el Alexandra Palace en UK) como en sus sesiones de DJs en todo el mundo.
El lbum resultante es una gran liberacin musical; un disco que se posiciona junto a los clsicos del do, Exit Planet Dust y el psicodlico Further de 2010 los discos de Chemical Brothers que marcaron las pautas para volver a reinventarlas partiendo de cero. Pasando de la indignacin al asombro, del Acid Mid tempo, al House o al sonido analgico y ensoador, este trabajo no es sino una hoja de ruta hacia el futuro.
No Geography contiene los temas previamente editados, Free, MAH, Got To Keep On y el ms reciente Weve Got To Try. Adems, en No Geography bastantes temas cuentan con la participacin vocal de la cantante noruega Aurora que ha colaborado estrechamente con la banda en el estudio. El rapero japons Nene tambin participa en la cancin Eve of Destruction.
