Coincidiendo con su 70 aniversario, el ingeniero Paul Blakemore (galardonado Grammy) ha remasterizado desde las cintas analgicas originales diecisis cortes seleccionados grabados ese ao por Miles en el histrico estudio Rudy Van Gelder y que aparecieron en The New Miles Davis Quintet, Miles Davis and Milt Jackson Quintet/Sextet, The Musings of Miles, . Aunque su trompeta es la protagonista, John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, Philly Joe Jones, Milt Jackson, Ray Bryant y Oscar Pettiford le acompaaron en alguno de los temas escogidos.
