El cantante, compositor y multi instrumentista naci y se crio en Filadelfia escuchando los clsicos de la poca de su padre, tambin msico, como: Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding o The Temptations. Segn creca descubri a las emocionantes propuestas de su propia generacin (Wu-Tang Clan, Notorious BIG o Jay-Z) que le inspiraron para definir su singular estilo, que abarca soul, hip-hop, R&B y rock, todos bajo la bandera de la alegra negra.
Tras mudarse a Nashville, debut con ‘Black Hole Rainbow’ (Capitol / 2020) y recibi grandes elogios de NPR, New York Times, PASTE y The Tennessean, entre otros. Sus once nuevas canciones, grabadas en Nashville bajo la produccin de Jeremy Lutito (Joy Oladokun, NEEDTOBREATHE), son una crnica de su periplo como artista negro que vive en la Amrica del siglo XXI fundada en luchar por lo que crees: igualdad y visibilizacin de los problemas sociales. El excelente resultado renueva el soul, hacindolo tan fcil de escuchar como estimulante, y cuenta con las colaboraciones de Nathaniel Rateliff y Janice, la joven estrella emergente sueca.
