The Kills publica su sexto lbum de estudio, ‘God Games’, a travs de Domino.
La pareja musical formada por Alison Mosshart y Jamie Hince fund The Kills a principios de 2001 en Londres y debutaron en 2003 con ‘Keep on Your Mean Side’ en Domino, sello que no han abandonado desde entonces. Cada nuevo disco del do es esperado porque tras ms de dos dcadas de trayectoria solo han publicado seis, los antecesores a ‘God Games’ se publicaron en 2011, ‘Blood Pressures’ y 2016, ‘Ash & Ice’.
Sin anunciarlo oficialmente, en pleno verano publicaron un excelente doble sencillo ‘New York/LA Hex’ que anticip la vuelta a las portadas de los medios musicales de la banda. Ambas canciones junto a otras diez conforman la docena de cortes compuestos al piano, por primera vez en su carrera, y producidos por Paul Epworth (Adele, Florence & the Machine, Paul McCartney, Mumford & Sons, …), que ensambla innovadoras texturas electrnicas resultando una excepcional produccin cristalina e hipntica sobre las letras profundamente humanas del grupo tras centrarse en la llamada y respuesta entre la catarsis vocal de Mosshart y el singular sonido de la guitarra de Hince.
‘God Games’ est disponible en CD (Jewel con libreto) y dos versiones LP (140g en lujosa portada mate/brillo que incluye un libreto de 16 pginas), una estndar en vinilo negro y otra limitada en verde Boomslang.
