The Arcs publican su segundo lbum, ‘Electrophonic Chronic’, va Easy Eye Sound / Concord.
En 2015, Patrick Carney, batera de The Black Keys, sufri una dolencia en su hombro que le postr durante un tiempo y paus los directos del grupo. Su compinche, Dan Auerbach, aprovech el parn para experimentar con el productor y multi-instrumentista Leon Michels (Dr. John, Lana Del Rey, …) sobre temas compuestos ajenos a The Black Keys. Al poco tiempo, se les sumaron Nick Movshon, Homer Steinweiss y Richard Swift para grabar en los estudios Easy Eye Sound (propiedad de Auerbach), los neoyorquinos Electric Lady y los Diamond Mine (de Leon Michels) el extraordinario ‘Yours, Dreamily’, un disco inspirado por el soul, el garage de vieja escuela y el space age pop de los 60s.
En 2018, Richard Swift falleci. Ahora, cuatro aos ms tarde, el resto de los miembros del grupo recuperan una docena de canciones del centenar que dejaron grabadas en las sesiones originales, que con la produccin de Auerbach & Michels conforman ‘Electrophonic Chronic’. En palabras de Auerbach: “Este disco es homenaje a Richard Swift. Es nuestra manera de despedirnos, volviendo a escucharle tocar, rerse y cantar. Ha sido un proceso muy duro, pero creo que nos ayud a todos”.
Electrophonic Chronic cuenta con ilustracin de El Oms y est disponible en CD (Soft-Pak) y dos versiones LP (140g), una de ellas limitada en vinilo transparente.
