El disco ser el acompaamiento de su prxima serie documental de 4 piezas, Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil, que se estrena en YouTube el martes 23 de marzo y termina el 6 de abril.
Tanto en el documental como en el lbum, Demi comparte por primera vez la historia de su sobredosis de 2018, ofreciendo una visin de su vida actual y de su camino a la recuperacin. El trabajo tan personal cuenta con la produccin ejecutiva de la artista y del manager de Lovato, Scooter Braun.
El lbum contiene 19 canciones originales e incluye los temas ya editados “Anyone”, tema que interpret durante los Grammy 2020 y cuya actuacin fue el momento estelar de la gala y tambin el single recin publicado en febrero 2021, “What Other People Say” junto a Sam Fischer. La portada del nuevo lbum es una fotografa de Dana Trippe en Joshua Tree, CA.
