El grupo indie londinense Sorry publica su segundo lbum, ‘Anywhere But Here’, va Domino.
Formado por la pareja de conspiradores principales, Asha y Louis, el batera Lincoln Barrett, el instrumentista Campbell Baum y el electrnico Marco Pini, la banda ha estado creando msica desde su adolescencia. Surgidos de la escena Windmill de Brixton, junto a Shame, Goat Girl o Black Midi, Sorry ha creado su propio universo musical, que rene su mutua pasin por el grunge lo-fi, el trap y el shoegaze.
Su aclamado debut ‘925’ se public al principio de la pandemia en marzo de 2020 y, aunque sta desbarat los planes previstos el disco fue sealado como uno de los debuts del ao. Si su primer largo fue producido por James Dring (colaborador de Gorillaz y Lana Del Rey) tena una presencia ms electrnica, ‘Anywhere But Here’ rinde homenaje a los grandes compositores clsicos de los 70s, como Carly Simon y Randy Newman con Londres aparece como un personaje destacado en el lbum. Para ello, la voz despreocupada de Asha contrasta con los sonidos discordantes de guitarra herencia de las bandas de principios de los 90, Slint and Tortoise, y los ritmos irregulares de Kanye o Capital Steez que la pareja coproduce junto a Adrian Utley de Portishead en Bristol.
Durante los meses previos a la salida del nuevo trabajo, Sorry ha publicado dos brillantes sencillos, ‘There’s So Many People That Want To Be Loved’ y ‘Let The Lights On’, en 7″” limitados con temas inditos.
Las trece nuevas canciones de ‘Anywhere But Here’ estn disponibles en CD (SoftPack con libreto de 16pp), casete y dos versiones LP (140g en potada gatefold con pster), una de ellas limitada en vinilo verde translucido con un exclusivo pster A2 plegado para esta versin.
Sorry presentar en directo su nuevo lbum en Barcelona y Madrid el 28 de febrero y 1 de marzo respectivamente.
