El fenmeno musical de fama mundial Africa Express regresa con un nuevo lbum de estudio titulado Africa Express presenta… Bahidor, grabado en Mxico y que rene a artistas y msicos de cuatro continentes. Este colectivo musical que rompe fronteras lleva ms de dos dcadas uniendo artistas de distintos pases y gneros en colaboraciones radicalmente creativas donde todo puede y suele suceder.
Con la idea de reunir artistas de diferentes culturas, gneros y generaciones para crear y tocar msica juntos, Africa Express fue fundado en 2006 con un viaje a Mali, donde conect a estrellas locales como Toumani Diabat, Bassekou Kouyat y Amadou & Mariam con artistas como el cofundador Damon Albarn, Martha Wainwright y Fatboy Slim.
Cada aventura de Africa Express es nica, llena de momentos mgicos, colaboraciones espontneas y descubrimientos. En 2024, Africa Express fue cabeza de cartel del Festival Bahidor en Mxico, un viaje que reuni a un grupo extraordinario de msicos, cantantes y DJs de todo el mundo para ensayar, actuar y componer msica nueva a orillas de los antiguos manantiales de Bahidor. El resultado es Africa Express presenta… Bahidor, una coleccin completamente original e irrepetible de 21 canciones que muestran el talento excepcional de artistas de Mxico, Sudamrica, frica, EE.UU. y Reino Unido.

Un viaje sonoro alucinante que nace en Mxico y abarca una rica variedad de tradiciones musicales, desde ritmos latinos hasta urbanos; reguetn y rap; kuduro y cumbia; metales mixe de Oaxaca y salsa; adems de folk, hip hop y pop.
